Church Hill

Swim into Church Hill, lower the drawbridge, and collect the Cable Station Bell. You need the Sea Polished Glass Shard Memento equipped for the water route from the dock near the Boat Workshop. The Silver Pines Church Hill route then takes you through the Parish Home, Flower Shop, Funeral Home, Cemetery, and Chapel Tower.

How do you get to Church Hill in Silver Pines?

Reach Church Hill by swimming from the dock near the Boat Workshop, then lower the drawbridge from its control panel.

  1. Leave Loomis Park through the main gate and go left along Loomis Street to The Silver Gazette. Take the stairs north, break the boards on the left, and defeat the enemy ahead to reach the Boat Workshop.
  2. Continue right outside the workshop. Pick up the End-Of-Summer Swim Notice at the dock, equip the Sea Polished Glass Shard Memento, and jump into the water. Swim forward, take the southern passage at the end, then head west through the shallow water.
  3. Fight past the enemies and climb the ladder beyond them. Saint Adjutor Church to the north is your landmark that you have reached the correct side. Go up the stairs, then east into the Silver Dog Bus Depot.
  4. Talk to the NPC in the parked bus just before the Phone. Save at the Phone before exploring further; see silver pines how to save for the saving mechanic. Breaking the wooden beam on the right reveals a bag with a Battery and Money.
  5. Leave the depot and continue east. Climb the ladder just before the drawbridge and interact with the control panel. The lowered bridge connects Church Hill to Downtown, so you now have a land route back.

The Boat Workshop tape points you toward the Miner Diner for an engine part. For this route, keep going to the dock and swim across rather than detouring for that part.

Where do you find the Flower Shop Key and first Metal Cube?

Get the Flower Shop Key from the Parish Home, then take the first Metal Cube from the room beyond the Sheriff inside the Church.

  1. From the Bus Depot, go west past the Church stairs and enter the Parish Home street door. The Flower Shop Key is on the table to your right.
  2. Return to the entrance and break the padlock on the left door. Inside are a Coffee Pot and the Church Hill Map, which shows the zone's building layout.
  3. Take the steps to the right of the Parish Home to the Chapel Grounds. Inspect the Chapel Tower gate on the right: its chain already has one rotatable cube and three empty slots. Those slots are your collection checklist.
  4. Enter the Church, take the door on the right, and talk to the Sheriff. Continue right into the next room and collect the Metal Cube on the table.
Railings along the Church Hill street exploration route
The railings are visible in the opening exploration footage at 1:08.

At the left end of the street, you can jump off the railing instead of turning north. Unlocking the door on the left opens a route to the Lighthouse area. You can leave that area for later and climb back over the railing on the right to return to Church Hill Street.

How do you open the Funeral Home and reach the Cemetery?

Use the Flower Shop Key to get the Funeral Home Family Key, then unlock the Funeral Home's upstairs door and retrieve the Cemetery Key downstairs.

The Funeral Home exterior on Church Hill street
The Funeral Home approach appears at 1:40 in the opening footage.

From the main street, take the steps beside the Bus Depot to the Funeral Home. You can hop the fence on its right and go down the steps for a wind chime before entering.

Father Jacob Foster's memorial portrait with symbols on his necklace inside the Funeral Home
At 2:07, the memorial portrait shows the necklace symbols used for the Chapel Tower gate.

Photograph Father Jacob Foster's memorial portrait with your Camera as you enter. The necklace may look like decoration, but its symbols match the cubes on the Chapel Tower chain. Keep the photograph for that gate.

  1. Leave and continue up the street to the Flower Shop. Unlock it with your key. Note the flower prices: White Lilies 7, Red Roses 5, Bluebells 2.
  2. Hop over the left counter and break through to the next room. Pick up the Funeral Home Family Key, return to the entrance, and talk to the NPC before leaving.
  3. Back at the Funeral Home, unlock the second-floor door with the Family Key. Clear the monsters beyond it. In the next room, jump over the floor gap before dropping down so you can collect the Dossier Note from the table.
  4. Take the north door and read the Code Note on the mirror. Its order is Lily, Rose, Bluebell, giving the Stairwell code 752. Keep that answer handy, or check silver pines codes when you reach another lock.
  5. The room to the right has two enemies and a Healing Tonic in a first aid cabinet. When ready, return to the gap and drop down. Take the left door and collect the Cemetery Key from the coffin.
  6. Continue left and open the first-floor door. You have done this correctly when you can return directly to the Funeral Home entrance.

Where are the remaining Metal Cubes in Church Hill?

The remaining Metal Cubes come from the Cemetery well's eel and the cremation of Jacob Foster's body in the Funeral Home.

How do you get the Cemetery well cube?

Unlock the Cemetery with its key and take the Sledgehammer beside the well. The well has a diamond-shaped hole for the Crank Handle. The Sledgehammer also breaks cracked walls.

  1. Return to Church Hill's front street and jump off the left railing again. Go forward through the hole in the wall.
  2. Break the cracked wall on the right with the Sledgehammer. The Crank Handle is on the table inside.
  3. Return to the Cemetery and fit the handle to the well. Stomp on the eel and examine it to collect the second Metal Cube. Examining it is the step that gives you the cube.

Should you explore the greenhouse or continue to the well?

Continue to the well for the required cube, or fight through the greenhouse if you want optional herbs.

Continue to the well first, recommended for progression

Get the Crank Handle and well cube first if you want to keep the bell route moving. The greenhouse herbs are optional for this objective.

Break into the greenhouse for herbs

Break the cracked wall on the Cemetery's right side to reach the greenhouse. You must fight enemies to gather the herbs, so this detour adds combat before your next required cube.

If you want another optional pickup, the water's edge near the Crank Handle route has the Journal of Father Foster. Swimming left across the water leads to a Memento Vessel Shard.

How do you get the Funeral Home cremation cube?

Cremate Jacob Foster's body from Casket Number 2, then climb into the machine to collect the final Metal Cube.

Return to the Funeral Home's first floor and go right to the area beneath the floor gap. Enter 752 at the Stairwell door beside the Cremation Trolley. The door opening confirms the flower-price code.

  1. Check the room to the right to locate the Cremation Machine, its wall button, and a movable Stretcher. Then enter the Stairwell. The left room has Gasoline; take the stairs down and go through the door.
  2. Read the Mortician's Ledger on the left table. Page 2 identifies Jacob Foster as Casket Number 2, so select that casket rather than guessing.
  3. In the room to the left, call the elevator to that floor. Continue all the way left, pull the movable stretcher to Casket Number 2, and transfer the casket onto it.
  4. Push the stretcher to the Cremation Trolley and transfer the casket into it. Return to the first floor and use the stretcher on the right to move the body into the Cremation Machine.
  5. Activate the machine and wait for it to finish. Climb through the hole into the machine and collect the final Metal Cube. You now have all three cubes for the empty tower slots.

How do you get the Cable Station Bell from the Chapel Tower?

Insert the three Metal Cubes, rotate the cubes to match Foster's necklace photograph, then ring the tower bell and clear the enemy waves below.

The portrait above is your visual reference: the necklace carries the same religious symbols as the gate cubes. Match that arrangement rather than treating them as a numeric code. The Chapel Tower door unlocks when the cubes match.

Climb to the top and collect the Diary Page pinned to the beam beside the bell. Ring the bell when ready. The world turns red, marking the start of the return route.

Aim your weapon to check the path below before each descent. A fall to the bottom of the Chapel Tower can kill you, so checking your landing is safer than dropping blindly.

At the bottom, use the Storage Container for your final preparations, then go through the hole and continue forward. You face waves of enemies in the Church. A Rifle or Shotgun is a recommended choice for this encounter; see silver pines weapons if you need to compare your options.

Once every enemy is defeated, take the door on the left and collect the Cable Station Bell. Continue all the way left into the confessional and sit in the chair to trigger the conversation.

You leave this section with the Cable Station Bell and the confessional conversation completed. Outside the Church, the changed world introduces two new enemy types on the streets. Continue with silver pines town hall for the next walkthrough section.
