It looks like a box that needs a hidden latch, but the missing pieces are five Stars that fill the constellation decoration. The fifth opens it to reveal Eddie's Gold Ring. For this diner-to-ferry route, take the box and continue with the kitchen key rather than trying to force it open at the sink.
Where is the underground passage key near Rodney's store?
The Underground Passage Key, also called the Underpass Key, is in the pharmacy back room at Rodney's General Store.
Visit the motel check-in first. Ringing the desk bell gets you nowhere; Mr Holloway's note sends you to Rodney's store. Check the pharmacy back room while you're there and collect the passage key. Use it on the underpass gate to confirm you've opened that route.
If a locked gate and high wall stop you near the shops, collect the Box Cutter outside the store and cut the plastic tarp to the left of the shops. That gives you a way through instead of leaving you searching the wall for a climb point.

Enter the guest number in Eddie Velvet's Motel Guest Ledger entry at the motel gate; the number changes between saves.
Read the ledger inside check-in and find Eddie's Grizzly Suite entry. The guest number is an access code, not a count of everyone staying at the motel. Copy that number into the gate panel. The gate opening confirms you used the right entry, and you can move into the motel grounds.
Where is the Crimson Bear Motel 40 amp fuse?
Collect the 40 amp electrical fuse on the lower floor of the main building, then fit it into the power controls by the game room door.
The basement note points you toward replacement fuses. Enemies are waiting on the lower floor, so approach the pickup with your weapon ready. The palm tree door down here is a separate obstacle; getting the fuse lets you work on the game room first.
Insert the fuse in the matching 40A slot and turn on the Game Room switch. The room's power returns, letting you use the shooting gallery. Finding the fuse alone doesn't finish this step: you still need to switch the power on.
How do you win the Crimson Bear air rifle game's pool key?
Get lead pellets from the game room's pellet dispenser, load the chained air rifle, and win the timed shooting gallery to receive the Pool Area Key.
- Restore the game room power before trying the rifle.
- Use the air rifle pellet dispenser to collect ammunition.
- Load the gallery rifle with lead pellets and activate the game.
- Shoot the targets during the timed round and collect the key when you win.
The chained rifle needs its own lead pellets, so your regular gun ammunition won't solve the activation prompt. You're done when the Pool Area Key pickup appears. Take it to the poolside gate and unlock it.

Collect the keycard in the changing rooms. On your way back, stop in room 5 for the Cleaning Solution, the bleach you'll need shortly. Use the Grizzly room key card at the suite's card reader. The card swipe and opening door confirm you can enter.

Use the Grizzly Suite's Pool Net on the pool drain, then combine the Grime Covered Object with Cleaning Solution or bleach to reveal the palm tree Door Knob.
- Return to the pool grate with the long-handled net.
- Retrieve the Grime Covered Object from behind the grate.
- Combine it with the bleach you collected in room 5.
- Take the resulting Door Knob downstairs in the main building and fit it to the palm tree door.
The drain can look like a blockage you need to clear, but your goal is the object lodged behind it. The net solves the reach problem; bleach solves the grime problem. Check the item after combining: it becomes a Door Knob with a palm tree design, as pictured above.

How do you finish the Silver Pines demo route to the ferry?
Unlock the Ferry Office with the key from the motel, then use the control panel switch to call the ferry and board for Downtown.
Inside the office, cut through the curtain on the left with your Box Cutter for a Hip Bag. Pick up the soda and the First Aid Kit in the wall medicine locker before you leave.
